I always pictured Smaug as red...But, personal envisioning aside, This is an excellent poster. It does have the right amount of teaser in it. And what's more essential to The Hobbit than Smaug himself? Excellent detail on that one wing too, what with the veins and all. But I'm not sure about the way the other looks...it seems like the wing and the spine is getting oddly out of focus and it begins to hurt the photo-like quality of the rest. But this is still a very excellent piece!

@Takras , this is not confirmed, I'm just playing around in PS.

@Freelance, the wing is a little too much out of focus, I think I overdid it a little there, might go in and fix it later. When I read the book I pictured smaug red too, but when making the poster I kinda felt he looked a little more scary when being this dark.

just a sugestion but a good idea 4 a poster would be a hand holding a ring on a dark wet background, maybie with a shadow in teh background? It would fill the whole page, be effective, and conect with the otehr movies
